    Course Content

     

    1. Occupational Health and Safety: This course introduces students to the principles of occupational health and safety, including the legal framework, hazard identification and risk assessment, accident prevention, and emergency response.

    2. Workplace Hazards and Controls: Students learn about various workplace hazards such as physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards. They study methods of hazard control and prevention, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

    3. Safety Management Systems: This course focuses on the development and implementation of safety management systems within organizations. Students learn about safety policies, procedures, and standards, as well as how to conduct safety audits and inspections.

    4. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Students learn how to investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents. They study techniques for gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and identifying root causes. Emphasis is placed on reporting and documentation of incidents.
