1. Introduction to Special Needs Education: An overview of the field of special education, including the historical background, legal and ethical considerations, and the role of special education professionals.

2. Understanding Disabilities and Disorders: A comprehensive study of various disabilities and disorders, such as intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. This includes understanding the characteristics, assessment, and intervention strategies for each condition.

3. Educational Psychology: An exploration of key theories and principles of educational psychology as they relate to special needs education. Topics may include cognitive development, social-emotional development, motivation, and learning theories.

4. Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): An in-depth understanding of the process of developing and implementing IEPs for students with special needs. This includes assessment, goal setting, accommodations and modifications, and progress monitoring.
